This Privacy Policy explains how Euchre Table Talk and its operator, Gutenbookpress (“Euchre Table Talk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use the website, Android application, multiplayer game service, Table Talk communication features, and related services.

By using Euchre Table Talk, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

You may play using an existing Euchre Table Talk/WordPress account or, where permitted, as a guest.

If you sign in with an existing account, we process information associated with that account, such as your username, email address, account identifier, account status, and Premium entitlement status.

The Android application supports sign-in to an existing account but does not create new accounts.

When you sign in through the Android application, your login credentials are transmitted securely to our server for authentication. The Android application does not retain your password. After authentication, the application uses access and refresh credentials to maintain your signed-in session.

Guest Information

Players may use certain features without creating or signing into a WordPress account.

For guest players, we use an opaque guest identifier or token to distinguish the player, protect seat ownership, support reconnecting to a game, and prevent another player from improperly assuming that player’s seat or permissions.

This guest identifier is an application/service identifier and is not intended to be a hardware serial number or Android advertising identifier.

Game and Multiplayer Information

When you play Euchre Table Talk, we process information necessary to operate the game, including information such as:

player display names; table and game identifiers; seat assignments and team information; game state, cards, bids, plays, scores, and game results; table creation and join information; connection and participant-presence information; save and reconnect information; and actions needed to enforce game rules and maintain the integrity of multiplayer sessions.

The server is authoritative for game rules, legal moves, scores, seat ownership, reconnect authorization, participant presence, and related multiplayer functions.

Chat and User-Generated Content

Euchre Table Talk may allow players to communicate through lobby or Table Talk features.

Messages and other content you intentionally submit may be transmitted to the other participants in the applicable table and may be processed or retained by the server as necessary to operate the service, provide moderation and safety functions, investigate reports, prevent abuse, or resolve technical problems.

Do not submit information through chat that you do not want other participants to see.

Safety Reports and Blocking

Euchre Table Talk provides safety features that allow users to report or block other participants.

If you submit a report, we may collect the reported player’s table or seat information, the report category, relevant message or event references, information you include in the report, and other game context needed to review the report.

Blocking information may also be stored locally on your device to enforce your selected blocking preferences.

Reports may be reviewed by the website administrator for moderation, enforcement, abuse prevention, and user safety.

Premium Status and Premium Keys

Premium entitlement is maintained by the Euchre Table Talk server.

If you redeem a Premium key through the website, we process information necessary to validate the key, associate the redemption with your account, activate Premium status, and maintain issuance, redemption, and administrative audit records.

Full Premium redemption keys are not stored by the Premium-key system in recoverable form after issuance. The system stores protected key data, such as cryptographic hashes and masked key information, together with necessary issuance and redemption records.

The Android application does not sell Premium access, process Premium-key redemptions, create accounts, or provide an alternate payment mechanism.

2. Camera, Microphone, and Table Talk Audio/Video

Euchre Table Talk includes an optional audio/video communication feature referred to as Table Talk.

The Android application may request permission to use your device’s camera and microphone when you choose to use these features. You can decline these permissions or stop using the audio/video features.

Camera and microphone access is used to provide live communication with the other human participants at your table.

Euchre Table Talk does not use its WordPress server to record or store your live camera or microphone media.

Audio and video are designed to travel through WebRTC connections between participating devices. Depending on the participants’ networks, WebRTC may use a TURN relay service to relay encrypted media packets when a direct peer-to-peer connection cannot be established. TURN relaying is used for network transport and is not intended to create recordings of your conversations.

Our server may process WebRTC signaling information and temporary connection credentials necessary to establish and maintain authorized audio/video connections. Temporary TURN credentials expire after a limited period.

Because WebRTC establishes network connections between participants or through relay infrastructure, technical network information necessary to establish those connections may be exchanged between participating devices and network service providers.

3. Technical and Device Information

When you use the website or application, our servers and hosting infrastructure may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or application type, operating system information, request timestamps, server responses, and similar network or security logs normally generated when communicating with an Internet service.

The Android application may also process basic device and application information needed for compatibility and diagnostics, such as Android version, device manufacturer/model, application version, connection state, and technical error information.

Game and safety information. When you participate in a game, we may collect and retain technical and account information associated with the session, including IP address, account username or user ID where applicable, guest display name, table/game identifiers, and safety reports. We use this information to operate multiplayer games, investigate reports, prevent abuse, enforce our rules, and protect the security and integrity of the service.

The Android application does not request precise or approximate location permission.

4. Diagnostics

Euchre Table Talk includes technical diagnostic capabilities intended to help identify connection, WebRTC, application, and multiplayer problems.

Production and development diagnostic behavior may differ.

The Android application can maintain limited technical diagnostic information on the device. Diagnostic information is designed to contain technical state rather than game conversations or media.

Centralized development diagnostics are disabled by default. When specifically enabled for development or troubleshooting, clients may send bounded technical information to the Euchre Table Talk server, including application/build information, REST request timing, WebRTC connection states, connection direction, candidate types, network-performance measurements, byte and packet counters, video frame statistics, and similar troubleshooting data.

The centralized diagnostic system is specifically designed not to store camera or microphone media, chat text, card contents, SDP contents, ICE network addresses, or IP addresses as diagnostic-event content.

When centralized diagnostic logging is enabled, the server retention period is configurable from 1 to 30 days, with a default of 7 days, after which diagnostic records are eligible for deletion.

Routine multiplayer session information, including IP addresses and player identifiers, is generally retained for up to 90 days for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and safety purposes. Information associated with a safety or conduct report may be retained for up to 12 months after the report is resolved, or longer when reasonably necessary to enforce a suspension or ban, comply with legal obligations, or protect the service and its users.

5. Advertising

Free users may see advertising in Euchre Table Talk. Premium users may be eligible for an ad-free experience.

Advertising eligibility, creative selection, delivery, and Premium suppression are controlled by the Euchre Table Talk server.

We may record when an advertisement is displayed or clicked so that we can measure advertising performance. Current advertising statistics are designed primarily as campaign/creative impression and click counts rather than third-party behavioral advertising profiles.

The current Android application does not include a third-party advertising SDK and does not use the Android Advertising ID for its Euchre Table Talk advertising system.

An advertisement may contain a link to an external website. If you follow an advertiser’s link, the destination website is governed by that site’s own privacy practices and terms.

6. How We Use Information

We use information collected through Euchre Table Talk to provide and operate the game; authenticate registered users and guests; maintain player identity, seat ownership, tables, saved games, and reconnect rights; provide multiplayer synchronization; provide optional audio/video communication; administer Premium entitlements; determine whether advertising should be displayed; measure ad impressions and clicks; provide moderation, reporting, and blocking features; prevent cheating, unauthorized access, fraud, or abuse; diagnose technical and performance problems; maintain security and service reliability; respond to support and privacy requests; enforce applicable terms and policies; and comply with applicable law.

When you submit feedback or contact support, we may collect the name, optional email address, message, and related technical/context information you provide, for responding to feedback, improving the service, and resolving problems.

We do not use camera or microphone access to create recordings for advertising or profiling.

7. When Information Is Shared

Other Players

Information you intentionally make part of a multiplayer session may be shared with the other players at that table. This may include your chosen display name, game actions, chat messages, and, when you enable Table Talk audio/video, your live audio or video.

Service Providers

We may use hosting, network, TURN, security, infrastructure, or other service providers that process limited information on our behalf as necessary to operate Euchre Table Talk.

These providers may receive information required to perform their services, such as network requests or connection information.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or lawful governmental requests; protect the security or integrity of Euchre Table Talk; investigate fraud, abuse, threats, or violations of our policies; or protect the rights and safety of users, Euchre Table Talk, or others.

Business Changes

If the operation of Euchre Table Talk is transferred, reorganized, merged, or sold, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate privacy protections.

No Sale of Personal Information

Euchre Table Talk does not sell users’ personal information.

8. Cookies and Local Storage

The website may use WordPress cookies and similar local browser storage for functions such as authentication, sessions, preferences, security, and gameplay.

The Android application stores certain information locally, including authentication or guest-session credentials, application preferences, the current game identifier when needed for reconnect behavior, safety preferences, and limited technical state.

Reusable Android account and guest credentials are protected using encryption backed by the Android Keystore.

Removing application data or uninstalling the Android application may remove locally stored credentials and preferences, but does not automatically delete information already stored on the Euchre Table Talk server.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information handled by Euchre Table Talk.

The Android application communicates with the Euchre Table Talk service using encrypted HTTPS connections. Cleartext network traffic is disabled for the application. Reusable Android authentication and guest credentials are stored using encryption backed by the Android Keystore.

Server-side authentication, authorization, temporary credentials, and access controls are used to restrict access to private game information and protected features.

No Internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. You should protect your account credentials and should not share passwords or private authentication tokens with others.

10. Data Retention

We retain information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate and secure the service, to resolve disputes, to prevent abuse, to maintain appropriate business or security records, and to comply with legal obligations.

Account information may remain while your account is active.

Game, session, saved-game, moderation, and safety information may be retained for the period necessary to provide those functions or maintain service integrity.

Premium entitlement, key-redemption, and related audit information may be retained as necessary to document entitlement issuance and redemption, prevent reuse or fraud, and maintain the integrity of the Premium system.

Server and security logs may be retained for a reasonable period for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

Centralized development diagnostics, when enabled, use the shorter configurable retention period described above.

Some information may also remain temporarily in backups until those backups are overwritten according to normal backup schedules.

11. Account and Data Deletion

The Android application allows users to sign in to an existing website account but does not provide account creation.

You may request deletion of your Euchre Table Talk account and personal information by contacting us at the address listed in the Contact Us section below.

We may need to verify your identity before processing an account or data-deletion request.

When a valid deletion request is completed, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with the account where reasonably possible, subject to information that we are permitted or required to retain for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes.

Certain records that do not identify you personally, aggregated advertising statistics, or records that must be maintained to prevent reuse or misuse of a previously redeemed Premium key may be retained as appropriate.

Guest users may also contact us regarding data associated with a guest session. Because guest identities do not necessarily contain an email address or registered account identity, we may require sufficient information to identify the applicable data without exposing another user’s information.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You can choose whether to enable camera or microphone permissions on your device. You can disable those permissions through Android system settings.

You may choose not to use Table Talk audio/video.

You may use available blocking and reporting tools to control interactions with other users.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about certain personal information we maintain about you.

To make a privacy request, contact us using the information below.

13. Children’s Privacy

Euchre Table Talk is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 in circumstances where it should not have been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

A parent or legal guardian who believes a child has provided personal information to Euchre Table Talk may contact us using the information below.

14. External Websites and Services

Euchre Table Talk may contain links to third-party websites, including advertiser websites or other external resources.

This Privacy Policy does not control the privacy practices of third-party websites or services. When you leave Euchre Table Talk, you should review the privacy policy of the destination service.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, legal obligations, or data practices change.

When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy and may provide additional notice when appropriate.

The current version of this Privacy Policy will be made available on the Euchre Table Talk website and through the Privacy Policy link in the Android application.

16.
